NO Training Wheels!

Kyle decided he was ready to ditch his training wheels last weekend. Hooray! His balance was amazing! He needs a little help getting started and should practice stopping a few more times. He crashed only once (into a bench at the park)...oops. But it didn't stop him. He rode a whole mile! He is very proud of himself. Way to go, Kyle!

Christmas

We enjoyed spending time with the Lindstrom family. Gramma & Papa, Aunt Kristen & Uncle Jeff arrived on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day was beautiful so we played washers and the kids (and Uncle Jeff) jumped on the trampoline while dinner was cooking.

These are a few of my favorite pictures from Christmas Day.

Feeding the birds

We took a walk to the lake to feed the birds some bread. Here are a few pictures I took along the way.

Flashcards

In a very sweet moment this morning Erik was quizzing Kyle on his numbers.

Erik's 7th Birthday Blast!

Erik turned seven! He celebrated at school with donuts for his friends on Friday. At home we opened gifts from grandparents, aunts, uncles, and Mom, Dad, & Kyle all week. The big party with all his friends was Sunday. Greg built a real cannon (hooked up to an air compressor) to shoot pirate targets. Also the kids (20 to be exact!) got to build real pirate ships (thanks again to Greg's wood-working skills) and race it down a river (made from a gutter). I was so busy "partying" that I didn't take many pictures. Needless to say we were exhausted from all the "fun."
