Indiana
We took a loooongggg car trip to visit my parents in New Albany, IN. The boys were actually good travelers this time. My mom just started chemo the day before we arrived. Who knew there was so much to do in Southern Indiana?
We went to a park overlooking the Ohio River and downtown Louisville, KY called (Falls of the Ohio) and climbed rocks.
We took a boat ride through the Bluesprings Caverns. It was 55 degrees in the cave and we saw 2 bats! The boys each spent $1 and got a piece of "fools gold" for a souvenir.
We drove an hour to Holiday World in Santa Claus, IN. They had an amazing water park that thrilled Erik and especially Kyle all day. We even waited in line for over an hour to ride the Mammoth (the world's longest water rollercoaster.)!
I think we picked the hottest day of the year to go to the Louisville Zoo. Kyle was super excited (for the first time ever) to see all the animals. We found it super fun to find the naked mole rats because of a funny book that Kyle loves ("The Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed" by Mo Willems). The mole rats were sleeping, but we could still see their silly teeth and naked bodies. There was a fun water area for the boys to cool off too.
We celebrated my birthday early with a Mexican dinner and special cake with my parents.
On the way home we stopped overnight in Sevierville, TN. Our hotel had an indoor water park with awesome slides and a wave pool that the boys loved.
We didn't take pictures in all the places, but I've included some of the best from the trip.

July 4th
Our 4th of July evening was spent watching fireworks from the boat next to the Cooper River Bridge. Earlier in the day we went to the movies to see Madagascar 3.
