Kyle and Erik had a play-date with Sawyer today. They had fun playing in his backyard, messing up the house, and taking a wagon ride to the park. We saw a turtle that didn't swim and tried to feed the ducks, but they must not have been hungry.
Kyle and Sawyer were born only one day apart in November 2006. They almost look like twins, don't they? Ha ha!

Matching boys

Aunt Sue bought the boys matching shirts.
They were sitting so nicely together on the couch this morning that I had to take their picture. Most of the time they are very happy to be brothers.
Kyle has been saying many new words lately. He repeats a lot of words we try to teach him. His favorites words are: Daddy, no, more, ball, Mommy, & done. He knows who Daddy is....but Erik is often "Daddy" and so am I!

Museum fun

Gramma joined us at the Children's Museum Tuesday. The highlight of the morning was when she helped Erik create a paper parrot in the art room while Kyle colored a picture.

Washing cars
Sunday afternoon we washed the cars as a family. Kyle kept running into the street. Erik kept spraying the ground, dumping the bucket, and making a royal mess. Next time we'll go to the car wash.

Rolling coins
Sunday Erik and Gramma rolled coins while Kyle played with the paper rolls. We rolled $39.50! The boys will split it and put it in the bank.
Kyle got a new ride on toy from Gramma & Papa. Now he can go places!

Wannamaker Park

On Saturday Grandma Lindstrom and I went to the park with the boys. Erik liked the big slide the best. Kyle spent the entire time picking up stones and dropping them again. Erik did not to use the public restroom (because it was too loud!) and instead found a patch of woods. Thanks to him, I have poison ivy.

Playing in the pool
Saturday afternoon we spent playing in the baby pool and sprinkler. Also we used our water rocket for the first time this year. We turned the slide into a water slide before the excitement was over.

Charlestowne Landing
Our family went to celebrate Founder's Day at Charlestowne Landing on Saturday. They had a re-enactment of life in Charleston during the 1700's. We saw "colonists" shoot cannons. Erik covered his ears. Erik & I made a clay pot like the Kiawah Indians would have done. Then we walked around the park to see all the animals that were native to this area before heading home. We saw deer, a black bear, bison, a puma, wild turkeys, pelicans, egrets, ibis, herons, alligators, turtles, and fire ants (but the ants were not on display...ha ha!).

Fire Museum
This past Thursday Greg took the boys to the fire museum in North Charleston while I was at work. They had a great time especially with the lights and sirens. Unfortunately Greg didn't bring the camera to the museum. Here's a picture of Kyle in his fire hat after dinner. Future firefighter?

Gramma Carolyn sent a bunch of Arthur books. She also sent two of the characters from the stories, Francine and Buster. Erik read books tonight in the hallway to help put Kyle to bed. Thank you Gramma!

Indoor Fun

It's been raining all week! We're finding fun things to do inside. Today we spent the morning coloring and dancing. Kyle only ate a few crayons.
Erik has mad, crazy dance skills. Watch him shake his booty....I wonder where he learned that?
