Sailing with friends

Kevin and Karen

Cheri and Steve

Greg and I

We took the sailboat out (without kids.... a first for me) for an evening sail to watch the sunset over Charleston harbor. We had wine and dessert on the water and had a relaxing time.

Birthday fun

Erik and Greg made me a birthday cake. Mmmmm it was tasty! My friend Grae made me a special crochet blanket with an "L" on it. Happy 32 to me!

Asheville

Greg and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary with our friends Kip and Grae. We took a trip to Asheville, NC and had a wonderful weekend away from the kids. (Thank you to Greg's parents for watching Erik and Kyle for us.) Highlights of the trip: Dinner out, hot tub at the cabin, hiking to waterfalls, shopping at the Biltmore village, and a wine tasting.

Nathaniel's party

Erik's friend from church, Nathaniel, turned 4 last week. Here are a couple of pics from the party. The kids had a fabulous time with bubbles, a parachute, pinata, water balloons, sprinkler, train set, super-hero masks, and cupcakes.

4th of July

We celebrated the Fourth of July with our friends, Kip, Grae, Mary and Jackson, Kris, my mom, & my mom's friend, Janice. We had a cookout at the marina and then anchored the boat in the harbor to watch the Mt. Pleasant fireworks.

Erik and Jackson steered the boat.

The boys were happy to wear their life jackets.

We all enjoyed a cookout at the dock.

Greg's good friend and faithful sailing companion, Kris.

Mary was a great sailor too.

I caught Kyle in a good mood for this picture. He was pretty crabby most of the evening.

Hanging out

Just hanging around the house. Greg put together a couple of new rocking chairs too.

Kyle in a toddler bed

Kyle climbed out of his crib about 4 times in the last couple of days. I decided it was time to switch him to a big boy bed. Here he is sleeping in his toddler bed for the first time tonight. Cross your fingers he doesn't fall out.....but at least he can't hurt himself now.

Erik didn't get a new bed, but I couldn't resist taking a peaceful shot of him too.

This is Kyle after he "fell" out of bed. He was hanging on and still asleep on night #2 in the bed.
